Trying to work out what prices I should charge from home. So far a full set costs $120 for 2 1/4 hours. What does every body charge for a full-set and refill? What is the Normal amount of time you allow?

Hi Bonnie,
Its a bit hard to get your name out there when you just starting out from home, especially when you don't have the shop street exposure. Personally, I would continue to offer full sets at that price until you build your speed up a bit more. Try to stay within 1 1/2 to 2 hours for a full set. When your able to get about 50 lashes in each eye - put your prices up. By then, the word should get around and clients will start to gossip about how good you are!
My minimum charge is $180 and I allow up to 1 1/2 hours for a full-set. My maximum charge is $350 and I allow up to 3 hours.

If you are working from home you can charge a bit less since you keep your overhead down, you can pass on the savings to your clients. It does not have to be dramatically less.
My advise is to keep your prices around what others are charging. You do not have to be the most expensive but you also do not want to be the cheapest. I am a fan of somewhere in the middle. AS you get better and develop your reputation you can always increase your prices.
My most popular set is 325, 60 lashes per eye. Lately clients are asking for more so soon i anticipate my most popular set to be my diva set which is 375 for 80 lashes per eye. I book 2 hours fr these clients. I am usually done in 1 hr 15 minutes but sometimes it could take me a drop longer if they have more challenging lashes to work with. The extra time is used for client teaching. My fills are 1 hr and I charge 120. These are the going rates in my area so I try and stay within that.

i-lashnyc - 80 lashes in 1hr 15 mins - Wow You are so fast! Which thickness do you use the most?
Bonnie - I wouldn't be charging anything less than $150, even if you are at home. It will take a little while longer before extensions REALLY take off over here.

It's so hard to decide where you want to be. Do you charge more to be exclusive but then miss out on volume or do you charge too cheaply and end up not being cost effective? In London a full set (approx 60lashes per eye) can range from £400 to £55!!!
I tailor my prices depending on salon or homecall appointment and also by area to be competitive. It works out I am slightly cheaper than than the most expensive and slightly more expensice than the workhorses.
I think it's important to put a value on your skillset and your reputation more than how much you charge.
