I know this is daft but I have been battling with use of my heated curler!! Have a no of African and Asian clients. So, when the lashes curl up towards the eyelid (African) do I iron the lashes below the curl? And when the lashes point downwards (Asian) do I iron above the curl? Sometimes I just seem to make the problem worse. Never used a heated lash curler before starting out. Everyone just advises to use the heated curler or iron the lashes but not exactly how. Any help?

Your so cute!! No such thing as a Daft question I always tell my students "I'd rather you ask a silly question, than make a silly mistake" Ok if the lashes are curly - you need to straighten them. Place one finger UNDER the lashes and the curler ON TOP at the lash line. Gently Slide your finger & the curler together (pressing the lash between) pulling and extending it out to the end. Its a bit like curling a ribbon.... If the lashes are straight - you need to curl them Place the lash curler under the lashes. At the base and 1/2 way up the lash, bend the natural lash upwards (towards her eyebrows). If you can get the curler to the base of her eyelid, gently pull open her eye a little so that you can get it closer.

Thank you, Tami! I must admit to being scared off using the heated curler after reading somewhere that someone burnt a few lashes off!
