I am haveing an issue with my own lashes. I emailed you way back in the fall and together we figured out I probably had Bletharitis. I dont know if you remember that or not but I did go to the doctors and get hydracortisone creme and I took off the lashes in November right after Thanksgiving.The doctor never said Bleth. by the way. I decided to get them done again last night,but not alot at all not even close to a full set . I can see my own lashes in between and they still look amazing.
Last year it seemed that all of a sudden the white stuff started to accumalate and then I just couldn't get it off without taking the lashes off. Well, I woke up this morning and I already have a ton of that white stuff there. I thought before that I had that because maybe I wasnt cleaning them properly and I was imbarrassed for sure but I just got them last night! I cleaned them the best I could this morning but not to be gross or anything first thing in the morning but its cheesy consistency and I cant get it all off! Please help me and tell me whats going on? I Love them so much and all my customers want to know why I dont have them on. I didnt pay alot for them, the girl gave me a good deal but now I'm not so excited about that money spent. Isnt there anything I can do? I'm gonna leave them for a few days and see but what do you think is going on? I knew last year that it wasnt the person who was doing them and she didnt do anything wrong and I guess I was right because its already started to happen.

Ohh Dear...Not again! You poor thing
Yes I do remember you Robin, you were imbarassed about it and spoke to me directly (off line) about your situation. Thank you for being brave enough to discuss/post your concern here - hopefully between your problem and my advice we can help others.

Ok lets see - You say this has happened within 24 hours after you had the extensions applied? Its a hard to say without looking at them, but I don't think its the application.

I think your lashline had not healed after the first bout and had not cleared up. I believe the glue that she used has caused the reaction to occur again. I believe that it occured SO quickly because it was already there - this time with a Vengeance. Sounds like you, unfortunately, have a glue allergy to Lash adhesives or one of the ingredients in the glue . But you need a second Professional opion on this, as I am not a Doctor.

I do know that you MUST get those lashes off (again) and get yourself to a doctor As Soon As Possible. This time when you see your Doc - DEMAND that he refers you to an Eye Specialist to sort this problem out once and for all. Only an Eye Specialist will tell you if its an allergy, Bleph or anything else. Most Doctors don't have a clue about eye issues and are only helpful in prescribing medication.

In the meantime,

1. Pour 3/4 cup of hot water + add two tablesthingys of cooking salt.
2. Stir until the salt dissolves.
3. When the water cools a little and is just tolerable on your skin, Use a cotton wool ball and to bath one eye. Firmly rub the lash line in small left to right movements to scratch of any crusts/deposits - throw out the contaminated cotton wool after use.
4. Using a new Cotton wool ball repeat sep 3.
5. Dry with a disposable tissues

Its REALLY important to throw out any contaminated Eye Make up, as you will keep re-infecting yourself. Beware of sharing any toweling with other household members.

Don't worry about not being able to wear extensions and what your clients think. I don't have them on ALL the time. When I get asked why arn't you wearing lash extensions? I simply reply with "If I could find someone that works like me, I'd be wearing them". This makes them confident that your good at your work. ;D

Thank you so much for your help. I have applied ointment and the hydro creme too. I just spoke to someone else and they said Glue Allergy too. I dont think my eyes have healed from the last disaster either but I was so eager to get them done. What a waste of money for me. I'll keep you posted and thanks again for your help.

Well just to update everyone on the lashes...
Everything is status quo this morning, no better no worse. Just picked out more white stuff and but creme on my lids. My lids are very mildly itchy but not red and raw like I've seen some so I'm gonna see what happens over the course of the next few days and make my desicion. It just goes to show all of us I think that the sealer doesnt really do what I would think it would do or the alcohol for that matter.
Sleeping is the worse because when my eyes are closed I can feel my eyes getting gooey and I know that most wouldnt live with that and I was convinced last night that I was gonna remove when I got to work but during the day with eyes open everythings ok. What to do, what to do..

The salt water is very healing on the skin and is safe to use on the eye area. Its an oldfashion remedy thats been around forever to cure Mouth Alcers to Eye infections. The hot water helps to disolve any oil deposits. This is what the eye specialist told me to do TWICE a day when I had Bleph. It works!
