Hello from South Africa

I have been peeping into your chat room for some time now and have finally gotten brave enough to join. I am a real newbie - been lashing since January only. Trained with Xtreme but am disappointed in the narrow spectrum of training. Bare basics - not even trained how to do a fill! Have learnt so much from you all and have even ordered products from companies recommended by you all. Thank you! I have learnt so much! Amazes me how our problems are universal - from lashing to marketing to products. Only thing we don't have in common is value of our currency. Imagine multiplying every dollar by 8!! South Africa just catching on to Lashes so heaps of opportunity. Poor company representation here (hence me buying in USA and Australia) and all just sheer greedy - fancy paying $40 for 0,2g of lashes or over $100 for glue! Currently doing only 2 to 3 set per week but this is part-time work for me, my full-time job is medical repping although I hope to take this to a full-time position. Enough waffling on - sorry, but you guys EXCITE me so!!

Hi - I am new here as well and have found this site to be a wealth of information. Like you, I am only a part time lasher. I work full time as a nurse but lash out of my home on the weekends. It's just catching on in my area (NH, USA) and it's wonderful to be able to chat with people who know the biz. I really think my techinique has improved since joining here and I make it a habit to read the new posts every day.

Are they really charging that much for Products? WoW that is expensive. Lash Out! Lashes ought to set up in South Africa too...lol . We look forward to hearing about your experiences doing lash extensions. Don't be afraid to ask anything. I think we're all a pretty friendly bunch of girls (and guys)....Tami
