I normally use a Protector pad to lay my lashes on, but since the Silicone pads came out I've been finding them easier to pick-up. I've heard of people using facewashers, sponges and pieces of leather. What are you guys all using?

I use a piece of leather only because that is what I was trained with, I would be happy to try something new and the silicone pad sounds interesting.

I like the silicone pads for loose lashes. But I use mostly monks and I can use those right out of the box. I take the mink strip out of the box and tape it to the back of my hand. Makes the lashes convenient to grab and sped up my application time.

Clarity, Sorry for sounding so dumb, but what are Monks?
I've been using the Protector Pads for some time now. I cut one sheet into 4 quarters. The good thing is about them is that you place a drop of glue on it along with the lashes. When I'm done I just throw the whole pad in the bin. Easy! No cleaning up to do.
I found that It was VERY difficult to get the flash Lash glue off the jade stone. I tried wrapping Cling wrap around the stone and my lashes on a sponge. But the lashes would jump around too much on the sponge. So, the protector pad served both purposes. I still use the protector pads with the silicone pads ontop of it.

Sorry Tami. That was a typo. I meant minks.
Where do you find your protector pads? I use an esthetic pad that is about 16"x20" it's cotton and not suitable for holding glue. Are your protector pads coated with something?
Also, I no longer use a jadestone. I put my adhesive on small plastic sheets. I cut them into 1"x1" sections. I can put them anywhere and throw the whole piece away when I'm finished.

Lash Out lashes sells them. They are sold in packs of 100, so if your cutting them into Quaters, you'll get 400 . They are plastic lined on one side and paper on the other. I use the plastic side for everything. Also you can use whole pad to place under your clients head. Keeps your linen clean and look very professional.

I still like my sponge and Jade stone. But can't get the Flash glue off it without using a blowtorch. So I've been using a bit of plastic wrap around the jade stone and I replace it everytime I do another client.

When I did my training I was taught to use a crystal stone and wrap it with aluminium foil. I just replace the foil between clients and I find it really good! You could possibly even wrap the jade stone with the foil as well?
