Hi everyone
Just joined this site so thought I would take the time to introduce myself to everyone.
I work in London and the French Riviera as an eyelash extensionist. Absolutely love the treatment and just so disappointed I can't do this on my own eyes!!!
I love all the different lashes available (J, B, C & D) as well as the mink, Y and W lashes .... and the coloured ones ... woo hooo ...
My biggest nightmere is the glue ... I've bought so many different brands (and I've just ordered the Flash glue) ... I just wish lash companies would just be honest as most glues that say they are the best, just arn't and take too long to dry (or maybe I'm just too fast and impatient!)
Anyway, I digress .... hi everyone and am looking forward to contributing to this forum.

Hi Francesca Welcome to the board. I am a little new here as well and have found this forum to be very helpful. I've been using Flash Lash glue for the past few weeks and it has done wonders for me. What location of the Riviera do you work? My husband and I visit the south of France every year. I would love to have my lashes done the next time I am there, maybe pick up a few European tips to bring back to the states! Robyn

Hi Francesca, a great big welcome hug at ya! I wish I could do my own lashes too...I'd put 200 in each eye if I could! What's business like in the UK? From the customer orders in the UK, it sounds like Lash Extensions are really picking up over there?

Hi Robyn I agree, this forum is a little gem and I've picked up a few tips which I will be implementing in future treatments. When in France I am in the Cap d'Antibes area, and usually for one week each month so if I am around I would be very happy to see you (Although I avoid July and August!!) And maybe I could pick up a few tips from you too ... Hi Tami Thanks for your warm welcome and am looking forward to contributing to this board. Business in the UK is growing steadily, as people are becoming more aware of the the treatment. At the moment there is a confusion between the extensions and the clusters, some salons call the clusters extensions and so the public get confused with the pricing. In France it's not that well known, but I'm sure it will change soon So, it's not just me ordering my lash products overseas eh? The pricing in the UK is obscene and I refuse to pay these lash companies prices.

Francesca, I always stay in Haute de Cagnes, not far at all from Antibes. In fact I go to the little sandy beach there all the time. I usually visit in the spring, my husband (a Brit) is a cyclist and does his training there. I will definitetly look you up next time I go!! I think it's fabulous that you work in both London & F Riviera. My 2 favorite places...you are so lucky and must be extremely talented! Robyn

Hi Starla, That is strange. My clients lashes always last a minimum of at least 3 weeks before fills. 10 days is unheard of. Have a few questions for you: Did you refrigerate the glue? ::)The instructions advise NOT to put the glue in the Fridge. The only client that had the same problem, put her glue in the fridge. (she didn't read the instructions) and as a result, her clients lashes came off quickly. Did you prime the lashes and ensure that they were squeeky clean before you started? Because the Flash glue has a runnier consistency, we recommend that you scoop up as much as possible on the extension and then wipe, wipe, wipe onto the natural lash. Once the natural lash is covered very well with the glue, then place it on. If you have coated the natural lash well and find there is too much glue on the extension, gently tap it onto the eyepad/tape to remove any excess glue - then drop it onto the natural lash. Don't dispear, it takes a little getting use to. Once you get the hang of it - you'll wonder how you ever did without it!

Hi Robyn ... Defo look me up .. hopefully we'll get to meet.
Hi eyecandy ... Thanks for the welcome!
Hi starla
Gee, not having much luck with the glue eh? I'm on my seventh brand and whilst the last order from California seems to be doing well I'm looking forward to receiving my package of Flash glue from Australia.
I haven't used the Novalash glue ... can anyone tell me the difference with that glue? Their promotional material states it's far superior but for £100 .... I was wondering if anyone could advise before I fork out???
Also interesting to note it's heat that dries the glue and not cold air so do using air blowers speed up or hinder?

Well - I've been using the Novalash glue for the past year and assumed it was the best around because that what they told us in the Novalash class. I didn't realize lashes aren't SUPPOSED get all clumpy, stick together, and fall off after a week or 2. Then I found this website and read about the flash glue - tried it and now I know what adhesive is supposed to do! Such a difference, I will never use PB again. But, this is just my opinion. Everyone has different technique and certain glues to fit them. Robyn
