Hi, I am just wondering the best way to disinfect and sanitise tweezers and equipment used for lash extensions?

the best way to clean your tweezers is to soak them in Acetone to remove any glue residue. You can buy it from any Acrylic Nail suppliers. After they have soaked, give them a light scrub with soap and water, dry them off and then wipe or spray them with isopropyl alcohol.

Tami, I use this technique, as well as have a small container of Acetone handy during a service for those unfortunate swips of the tweezers into glue. The problem I have is, the small container of Acetone always evaporated... What type of container is best to use that will not get eaten up by the Acetone or evaporates and will be quick access during a service? any help is appreciated....

If you are soaking them and switching them frequently, I would suggest a small glass jar with an large open mouth. My tweezers tips soak in a small glass jar with cotton wool in the bottom to prevent the tips getting damaged. The Fact is Acetone is a volatile liquid that evaporates quickly and needs to be replaced daily. I would suggest the following: 1. Only fill the jar with enough Acetone to cover a small area of the tweezers (like the tips) 2. Start buying Acetone in bulk
