Hi Shelly, Welcome to Lash Chat Bones (otherwise known as frames) create a guideline for your lash styling. There is no right or wrong, when it comes to what sort of lashes you use for setting your frame - it's personal choice really. When I set my frame, I usually use 8-10 lashes on each eye (various lengths). Lets say I'm using 12mm as my longest lashes - I will place them on the outer 1/4 of the eye. Then I'll put some 10mm ones in the middle and some 8mm's in the inner corner. The lashes are spaced evenly with gaps between them. Then after the frames are in place, I go back over my work and add more lashes to fill in the gaps, using my frame as a guide. Generally, Primer is used to prepare the natural lashes. I'm not aware of the ingredients/product you are using. IPA can be used on the natural lashes with CAUTION. However, I personally do not believe it is necessary with our Flash & Advanced adhesives. Hope this helps? Let me know if you need any more help.

Hi Tamy Thanks for the reply I will try this method I had not heard of it before I am from England & I had 1day of training & you are then left on your own & it can be a bit scarey, the companies are happy to take your money but kind of make you feel a nuisance if you need to ask for help so its great to have the board to get some advise from those who are more expierienced.I have actually purchaced you flash adhesive & I am so pleased with it I am hopeing that when my infills return I will see the difference its just a shame the shipping is so expensive as it bumps up the price. Am I right in thinking once opended if stored in a cool dark place it can last 8 months ?Also I have read on another board about advising clients to wash thier lashes in baby shampoo water & baking soda do you advise this if so Is it 4 parts shampoo 4 parts water & a teasthingy of baking soda & does this mix have to be exact?do you also use the I.P.A after you have completed the lashes I have tried to buy the I.P.A at the chemist & the dont seem to Know what it is I have asked for Isphoral Alchol is that correct & what % should I ask for ?Sorry for the long post but soooo releived to find you guys dont feel so alone many thanks in advance Kind regards Shelly

Hi Shelly....No problem (that's what I'm here for) It can be a bit overwhelming being left to your own devices after training. Many lash stylists work for themselves or on their own without any support from other staff. It is unfortunate that Suppliers don't offer you the technical and application support required after your training. You should never be made to feel like a nuisance! I spend 1/2 a day talking to customers about products, application techniques and training. But then I LOVE LASHES Now regarding your questions - Yes, the Flash Lash Adhesive will last up to 8 months after opening, if stored correctly. I know you will very happy with the returns. My clients are coming back with 70% of their lashes still on after 4 WEEKS! - The shopping cart automatically adjusts the shipping for international orders at Au $22.00. charge depending where you live. If you wish to reduce the price for shipping - you can order your products by contacting our office (via email). - I don't use the baby shampoo/soda mix that you are referring to. I'll have to find out the mix of the formula for you and get back to you on this one. There are heaps of other alternatives, that I prefer -each to their own. - IPA is a common shortening term for : ISOPROPYL ALCHOL I have used 100% on some of my clients in the past without a problem, however you may choose to use 60-80%.
